Microsoft Windows XP models with ATI discrete graphics may experience an intermittent flicker or noise on the ThinkPad LCD panel and the mouse cursor may slow down when Extended Desktop is enabled between the LCD and a DVI display. If the ThinkPad LCD is set as a primary display at 1400x1050x16bit and Windows XP is set to extend the Windows desktop to a DVI display set at 1024x768x32bit the ThinkPad LCD screen may flicker. The mouse pointer response might also be slow intermittently. This situation only occurs in the configuration above and only if the ThinkPad LCD is a native SXGA+ LCD display.
